Today, I attended Carol Douglas’ funeral.
In her quiet way, she was the reincarnation of Nanny the Maroon both on a personal level and on a professional level.
I learned so much about this heroine from her family, friends, and colleagues.
A week before she passed away, we spoke for an hour, not knowing it was our last conversation.
Rest In Peace, Warrior Queen – your spirit lives on among us as Afrika continues to Struggle.
