Afrika’s Struggle Honored

Today, I received a beautiful appreciation card from Sasha Heeralall — a Macauley Honors scholar, graduating senior, and 4.0 GPA student.

Ms. Heeralall is truly a force of nature. Beginning June 1st, she will take the helm as CEO of her aunt’s multi-million-dollar company — an extraordinary achievement that speaks to her intelligence, drive, and leadership.

She told me that it was an honor to have me as her mentor. In truth, the honor has been entirely mine. Mentoring Ms. Heeralall has been a privilege, and watching her grow into such an accomplished and inspiring young leader has been deeply rewarding.

I do not doubt that her future will be exceptional.

Afrika’s Struggle Congratulates a New MBA Graduate

On Friday, McHenry Francois, my former 4.0 GPA student and mentee, graduated from the NYU Stern MBA program.

Yesterday, he hosted an MBA graduation luncheon in New Jersey, and I felt truly honored to celebrate this important milestone with him.

I enjoyed gathering with his family and friends, including his new boss and mentor from his investment banking firm.

Throughout the afternoon, we shared pride, gratitude, and joy. Watching Mr. Francois continue to grow and succeed has been deeply rewarding, and I look forward to all that lies ahead for him.

By the way, the food was delicious.

Congratulations again, Mr. Francois!
